Long Day Care Philosophy
Our aim at Brookvale Early Learning Centre is to provide high quality care and education for all the children in our care. We embrace each child’s abilities, interests and needs and enhance these through their learning. Our educators support each child’s learning through curriculums that follow the Early Years Learning Framework and guided by the children and families at the centre.
We believe each child is individual and all will be respected regardless of ability, gender, religion and culture. We will embrace these qualities shown in each child and incorporate these into the children’s learning. The input of families and their relationship with the Centre is of vital importance to the development of each child.
We will always provide an environment that is safe and secure for all the children, families and staff at our centre. We believe in supporting the sustainability of our environment and world around us. Our outdoors and indoors environments enhance the children’s awareness of this through our sustainability gardens and recyclable resources.
We recognise our Educators are the most important factor in providing a high-quality standard of care for each child. It is the role of our educators to find teachable moments and extend on each individual child’s interest and then provide them with a program that is a reflection of this. All educators must be of the highest calibre, exemplifying the philosophy, beliefs and ethics of the Centre at all times. We pride ourselves on our long term, qualified and dedicated team of educators, support staff and managerial team.
Finally, we aim for the children at Brookvale Early Learning Centre to feel a sense of BELONGING to the environment while BEING in the moment and BECOMING me.
OOSHC & Vacation Care Philosophy
Our OOSHC is committed to promoting self-esteem, promoting rights and responsibilities and encouraging fairness and honesty in our service. We value and encourage the development of essential life skills by respecting individuality, challenging children’s cognitively, socially, physically and emotionally.
We aim to provide a fun, creative, age appropriate, active, safe and home like environment that will support the needs of both the children and their families.
Our curriculum aims to provide opportunities that encourage children to pursue new experiences, build independence, self-identity and allows freedom of choice. We recognise and respect the importance of diversity and are committed to these inclusive and equitable practices.
We believe strongly in supporting the sustainability of our environment and the positive impact of family involvement in our programs.
